College of Health Professions
Towson University

Towson University’s College of Health Professions (CHP) building consolidates the dean’s office and the Health Professions Departments at the University: Nursing, Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science, and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

In association with Architect-of-Record Perkins + Will, JMT Architecture led the planning and design of the simulation and skills labs spaces. These purpose-designed spaces suit each specialty, from home care to pediatrics to an OT-focused makerspace. The highlight of the lab spaces is the immersive simulation corridor, which uses fixtures, finishes, and layout informed by research of real hospitals.

Our team provided the University with a mindful, LEED Gold certified, design that reflects its new brand identity and creates a flagship building for the health professions programs on campus.
