College of Health Professions
Towson University
Towson University’s College of Health Professions (CHP) building consolidates the dean’s office and the Health Professions Departments at the University: Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science, and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
In association with Architect-of-Record Perkins + Will, JMT Architecture led the planning and design of the simulation and skills labs spaces. Our team provided the University with a mindful design that reflects its new brand identity and creates a flagship building for the health professions programs on campus. A six-story atrium connects the north and south entrances allowing for students to flow through the building and encouraging the campus population to utilize the common areas and café. Central to the commons is a large multipurpose auditorium for campus and public events.
The project is being designed for LEED Gold.
